Co-location Data Centre Security Guarding
Greeting Your Customers
We know that Security Guards working at colocated data centres need to serve your clients brilliantly. Their job is not just to check passes or watch CCTV; it's much much more.
They are the face of your business.
They are the first people your clients meet.
They need to be multi-disciplinary.
Developing Great People
We want to take care of your security staff and support them in their critical roles. They need to be nurtured, trained and prepared to ensure they are great ambassadors for your company.
We'll support all guards working at your centres to ensure they get the input they need to serve your customers brilliantly.
Tiers of Data Centre Security
Depending on the type of data in question, the security requirement varies. TIA-942-A “Telecommunications Infrastructure Standards for Data Centres” categorises data centres into four tiers:
Tier 1 - No security desk, no manned security
Tier 2 - No security desk, security staffing five days a week
Tier 3 - Security desk with monitoring capabilities, security staff 24/7
Tier 4 - Security desk with monitoring capabilities, security staff 24/7 with extra staff for ‘walk around’ patrols
Tiers 3 and 4 are the most desirable levels for data centres in the UK and help them meet the security requirements associated with today’s IT-centric business and commerce.
Working with others
Guarding services for such critical and high-stakes facilities like data centres need to take into account much more than just supplying a licensed individual.
Your guards need to be able to understand the industry and how it works. Answer and route customer queries and even liaise with emergency services and response contractors to make sure that your data centre is always running smoothly.
