Taking Cyber Security Seriously

Cyber Criminal Revenues have hit $1.5 Trillion annually. That's a shocking number reported by Bromium just last year and the rise in criminality is not expected to slow any time soon.

Responsibility

Although, all tech companies are leading the charge in fighting back against cyber criminality. The reality is that it is everyone's responsibility to do all they can to make sure that their people and data are safe.

We strongly believe that it's the responsibility of every company and organisation to ensure that their IT infrastructure is secure enough to handle the data that they hold.

Dedication

It's not an easy battle, but it is one that we, as a responsible organisation, want to take up the challenge of. That's why we recently worked closely with Amwell Information Security to work through our Cyber Essentials Certification.

Certification

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed certification that launched in 2014. They describe it as:

"...a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats."

It helps us guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrate our commitment to cybersecurity.

Inspection

Having an independent auditor ensure that your workflows and processes are up to scratch is always daunting. But Graham Horne from Amwell guided us expertly and made sure that we adapted what we needed to and upheld our processes to meet the requirements for certification.

Application

We need confidence in the organisations with which we interact. Every company has an IT system and software, but not every company is taking steps to ensure that they are utilising them to be as safe as possible.

We'd encourage all organisations to take up the fight against cybercriminals and make sure they are reassuring customers that they take cybersecurity seriously.
